Crescendo Studios

Crescendo Studios is at the heart of Merrifield’s Mosaic district. It is an event, performance and teaching facility that hosts both concerts and private events like ours. Their function hall is perfect for our 50th reunion and ideally located right off the Beltway just 5 miles from Annandale, and near restaurants, shopping as well as our headquarters hotel.

Catering

We have engaged a private chef to prepare three entrées for us on our big night. Our buffet will include the choice of sliced strip loin served with a wild mushroom demi-glace, pan seared chicken breast with a sundried tomato sauce and a vegan portobello mushroom stir fry along with salad, sides and desert.

You’ll also have a beer, wine and non-alcoholic drink cash bar at your service.

Friday:

8:45 - AHS School Day Visit - Principal Shawn DeRose invites us to tour the building, classroom instruction and meet with selected students and teachers, including Grammy Award winning orchestra teacher Annie Ray. Includes a brief presentation on how today's AHS is building on its legacy of excellence. Park in reserved spaces out front and go to the main office. Bring your ID.

4:30 - AHS After School Tour - For those who want to see the facility without the presentation and classroom experience. Come to the main office and be sure to have your photo ID.

5:45 - Class of ‘74 Tailgate - Grab a bite before we head to the AHS Homecoming game. Can’t miss us on the running track right next to the Stadium driveway. Go Atoms!

7:00 - Homecoming Football Game - Atoms vs. Bishop Ireton.

Evening - AHS Class of ‘74 Private Mixer -
A chance to officially welcome everyone to the Reunion Weekend. Hors d’oeuvres provided and extensive cash bar available at local restaurant. Check your email for directions.

Saturday:

7:40 - Golf Outing - Pre-registered golfers meet at Homewood Suites to drive on their own to Raspberry Falls, 41601 Raspberry Drive, Leesburg.

7:55 - Walkers/Joggers - Meet Kathi Rechin Morgan in the Homewood Suites lobby for an invigorating tour of the Mosaic District.

10:00 - Group Gathering - In the AHS meeting room on the 2nd floor of Homewood Suites. Gary Evoniuk, AHS ‘74, will facilitate a group discussion on the Annandale experience and how it and its staff influenced our professional journeys since.

11:40 - Beer & Wine Tasting - Meet in Homewood lobby and walk to our casual get together over some beverages at nearby Caboose Commons which is a ½ mile walk or drive in the Mosaic District at 2918 Eskridge Road. The Mosaic Fall Festival will be going on as well, so plan to wander foods and crafts before or after lunch. *

2:00 - Group Gathering - Join classmates Elaine White and Andrea Fleming Thomas in the AHS meeting room on the 2nd floor of Homewood Suites for a group discussion of the joys/struggles of our personal journeys and how they were influenced by AHS staff or our Annandale experience.

6:00 - Reunion Dinner and Program - The big event of the weekend at Crescendo Studios, 8101a Lee Highway, Merrifield. It’s right across the street from the Homewood. Reception with wine/beer cash bar (credit cards only) followed by dinner. Dress is business casual/dressy casual. Dress shirts and polos. No shorts or t-shirts, please. See above for the buffet menu.
